Buildings & Grounds

Here you will find updates going on around the St. Jerome Campus.

BUILDING FOR THE FUTURE Update

We are excited to share another step forward in our plans for a new multi-purpose building for our parish community. To assist us in this important effort, we have obtained the services of Generis a company that specializes in capital campaign fundraising for churches.

The first stage of the process, currently underway, is a feasibility study. Twenty-five parish households have been contacted to participate in inter-views with representatives from Generis. These households were selected to reflect a broad cross-section of our parish family, including all age groups, families with young children, married and single parishioners, and others.

Following the interview process, every parish household will have the opportunity to participate through a mail-in survey. The input gathered during this process will help guide the planning and direction of this important project for the future of our parish.

We are grateful for the continued prayers, support, and enthusiasm of our parish community as we seek to build for the future while strengthening the life and mission of our parish for generations to come.

Church Flooring Project Update

After 33 years of faithful use, the carpet in our church is due for replacement. Over the past several months, a committee has been carefully researching options and working diligently to select new carpeting that will best serve the beauty and needs of our parish for years to come.

As part of this project, the carpet in the sanctuary area will be replaced with stained white oak hardwood flooring, bringing both warmth and lasting beauty to this sacred space. New carpet will also be installed throughout the remain-ing areas of the church. The reflooring project will hopefully be completed over the summer months. We will probably have to be out of the church for a couple of weeks. We will keep you updated as this project moves forward.

We are grateful to the members of the committee for their time, dedication, and thoughtful work on this important project. Please keep this effort in your prayers as we continue to care for and enhance our church home for future generations.

5’ Marble Holy Family Statue Coming This Summer

Thanks to several small bequests and undesignated use donations, a beautiful marble statue of the Holy Family will be added to our parish campus this summer. The statue will be placed in the niche created by the ramp and steps on the south side of the church, providing a prayerful and welcoming addition to the grounds. We are grateful to all who helped make this meaningful project possible. Jesus, Mary and Joseph pray for us.

There was a "Building for the Future" come and go in October where St. Jerome asked for input from the community on the plans for a new community building. There were several representatives in attendance to answer questions and discuss the proposal for the future of St. Jerome. For more information, contact Matt Purcell at 270-556-0682.
